On Friday evening, December 12, Capizzo will open its doors for something brand new. The walls will be filled with portraits—painted, photographed, imagined—of the people who make Saugatuck and Douglas what they are.
​
It’s our neighbors, our friends, the characters we all know and love, seen through the eyes of local artists. No rules, no explanations—just the urge to capture a face and say, this person matters here.

We picture a room buzzing with familiar voices, artists shoulder-to-shoulder with their subjects, holiday cheer in the air. A one-night, one-of-a-kind gathering, only at Capizzo.

Sandy Muckleroy and Kevin Ball

Opening Reception: July 31, 5-7 pm
From the pedigree of iconic Saugatuck artists Clyde and Belva Ball are sibling artists Sandy Muckleroy and Kevin Ball. Sandy Muckleroy creates nature-inspired sculptures, primarily in metal, with a strong focus on trees. Her work often features bronze trees mounted on natural mineral specimens, mimicking both bonsai and natural forms.
Kevin Ball is a versatile artist, who has worked in graphic design, illustration and is now a dedicated landscape painter.
