Five years ago, Capizzo opened its doors with a handful of artists, a vision, and no guarantee that any of it would work. Since then, we've exhibited hundreds of artists, welcomed thousands of visitors, hosted exhibitions, openings, concerts, conversations, workshops, and gatherings, and helped establish a place where creativity and community intersect.

Capizzo celebrates 5 years of serving the community and helping everyone find the perfect artwork to fill their home. With over 30 represented artists, this show is the real Capizzo.
Fragments of Time

Artist Chris Lujan takes over the Salon Room of the gallery with Fragments of Time.
​
"My paintings explore the fragile relationship between time, memory, and perception. Layering influences from classical sculpture, landscape, and photography, I weave together multiple moments into a single image where past and present exist side by side. The human figure becomes a vessel for memory—carrying traces of history, emotion, and the shared experiences that connect us across generations.
Expressive color is central to my work, shaping atmosphere and emotion as much as form. Rather than depicting reality, it reflects the shifting nature of memory—how moments fade, return, and are continually transformed by time. Through fragmented forms and layered imagery, I invite viewers to pause, reconnect with their own memories, and consider how the stories we inherit and the ones we create continue to shape who we are."

Capizzo is proud to present the Chicago Blues Photography of acclaimed photojournalist, Marc PoKempner. PoKempner’s photographs capture the raw atmosphere, the gritty, the authentic Chicago blues scene. His photos serve as the visual historical record of Chicago Blues Culture during the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. Each print is archival quality, in limited editions with a Certificate of Authenticity, and signed by the artist.

Inquire about our multi-use gallery and hold your private gathering in an inspired space. The indoor/outdoor space features artwork, polished cement floors, 14’ high metal ceilings and plenty of natural light. Casual seating nooks, fire pits, a full kitchen, surround system are just some of the amenities included.
