Nick is self taught and has lived in Saugatuck since 1992, He opened Capizzo along with Michelle Pizzo in March 2021. Originally from Chicago, his early work includes magazine publisher, cafe owner (Good Earth Cafe in Holland, MI) and founder of Allegan Road Furniture and Carpentry.

His work resists neat labels and does not claim a single style. He often paints emotively, following impulse and mood more than plan.
