Morris Brose

Born in Wyszkow, Poland in 1914, he came to Michigan in 1931. He began sculpting in 1968, creating pieces that were sparse, tall and angular. Along with his iconic metal sculptures, he also worked as a photographer. His pictures have been featured at expositions in various galleries.

Once a very active and popular Detroit artist, he taught art at Wayne State, Cranbrook, and the College for Creative Studies. The most recent exhibition displaying his work was With Eyes Opened at Cranbrook Academy of Art.
