When Chris Lujan prepares a piece, she looks to connect to something bigger than herself, to be a part of the things we share that are unspoken. By creating abstract images of the body, animal and human alike, she can see beyond our differences and refocus on the beauty of our similarities.  For her, this is seeing nature in its purest form, an organic reflection of ourselves.
